Jeff Virgil: Chief Financial Officer The Rim Corporation E-mail: jvirgil@rimcorp.com Jeff Virgil joined The Rim Corporation in 2000 as Chief Financial Officer. Jeff
has twelve years of hospitality experience ranging from public accounting, where he specialized in auditing of hotels and hotel management companies, to being a Corporate Controller of a hotel management company.
Prior to joining The Rim Corporation, Jeff spent nine years with the Mobedshahi Hotel Group (Hyatt San Jose, Hyatt Sainte Claire and The Sherman House), as its Corporate Controller. In his role at Mobedshahi,
Jeff's work included supervision of accounting, preparation and review of financial statements and annual budgets, and tax preparation. Jeff also played an integral role in the company's
negotiations of hotel purchases, leases, union contracts, restaurant leases, and franchise agreements, as well as securing loans and lines of credit for all three hotels. W
hile at Mobedshahi, Jeff supervised and participated in the installation of the hotel industry's first in-room computer system. In an association with 4th
Networks, the Hyatt San Jose installed 256 computers and printers with fax machines into each hotel room. This system allowed hotel guests to use word
processing, spreadsheet, graphics, play games and offered Internet access at speeds 50 times faster than previously available. Previously, Jeff spent three years with Laventhol and Horwath, where he
specialized in audit and tax for many hotel and hotel management clients. It was while working at Laventhol and Horwath in 1989 that Jeff received his Certified Public Accountant Certification.
Jeff is a graduate of California State University, Hayward, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Accounting. |
