The History of: The Rim Corporation
The Rim Corporation, founded in 1983, is a multifaceted hotel management and development company based in Modesto, California. The genesis of The Rim Corporation was
MTSP, an agricultural and real estate development company formed in 1965 by four couples who were related either by lineage or marriage. The eight founders of MTSP were Tom and Jean Coyle, Robert and Betty Burden, Jack and Marilyn
Coyle, and Frank and Bernice Riser. The visionary of the company was Frank Riser, who would later become the President of The Rim Corporation, retiring in October of 2001, when Mark Burden assumed the position of President and CEO of The Rim Corporation.
In 1983, Mark and Jim Burden joined MTSP to undertake another venture realizing Riser's initial vision. The eight original founders of MTSP, along with Mark and Jim Burden, established The Rim Corporation.
